Community services and philanthropy

The purchase of a Musafia Cremona Italy case can help benefit the local community, young musical talents, and international charity.

Mr. Musafia is especially active in getting young musicians on stage. Through his work on the Board of Directors of Cremona's Filodrammatici Concert Society (SocietÓ Concerti Filodrammatici), multiple performance opportunities are organized for students in all age groups.  Once a year Mr. Musafia awards a personal scholarship to a student of particular distinction at the Cremona Conservatory. He is also honorary member of the Maestro Foundation (Fondazione Maestro) which has among it's goals to promote not only music making but also violin making, through the loaning of fine contemporary instruments to deserving students.

He has collaborated with the Cremona Solo Violin Competition, the Tibor Varga Festival in Switzerland, the International George Enescu Violin Competition in Romania, and other competitions.

As President of the Cremona Kiwanis Club, Dimitri Musafia organized the donation of an important contemporary violin by Stefano Conia Sr. to be lent on a medium-term basis to talented but underprivileged violin students, a fundraising concert benefitting the children affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident (Associazione Aiutiamoli a Vivere) and other initiatives.

Through his association with concert artist Salvatore Accardo and in collaboration with the City of Cremona, the sale of each Salvatore Accardo by Musafia case results in a cash donation to the Casa Ozanam, a haven for underprivileged families.
